Origin

How Clyvento Began

Clyvento grew out of a simple frustration shared by a small group of gamers and writers in Scarborough, Ontario. Most gaming media felt increasingly oriented toward volume — a constant stream of news items, sponsored roundups, and platform-driven recommendations rather than genuine, considered coverage.

In 2013, a group of journalists and developers began contributing to a shared editorial project with one clear intention: write about games the way they deserved to be written about. No hyperbole, no forced enthusiasm, no revenue-first framing. Just informed writing from people who care about the medium.

That project became Clyvento. Over the years, it evolved into a platform combining original editorial with community tools, event coverage, and resources designed to help players discover games and connect with others who share their interests.
